    Descon, headquartered out of Pakistan, is a multinational conglomerate that operates in the engineering, power, chemicals, and agriculture sectors. The organization began as an engineering enterprise. Today, it also owns and operates chemical and power plants, with allied interests in inspection and testing. It has recently diversified into the agriculture sector and maintains a robust workforce of nearly 22,000 employees. Descon specializes in EPC, Construction, Maintenance/Industrial Services, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Automation & Control projects. Its global presence spans the GCC (including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman), Iraq, Pakistan, and South Africa. Descon's Chemicals Business comprises Descon Oxychem Limited. Its Power Business includes Descon Power Solutions (DPS), providing power plant operations and maintenance (O&M) services for thermal and renewable power plants in Pakistan.

    Descon owns one Independent Power Plant (IPP): Altern Energy Limited, a 32 MW gas-based power plant. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Descon takes pride in educating underprivileged youth through the Descon Technical Institute (DTI) and providing vocational training to young aspiring students.
